HOW OBAMA HAPPENED
This is a genuine e mail sent on November 5th 2008 to all who helped, even in the smallest way, in the Obama campaign.
Eliza --
I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.
We just made history.
And I don't want you to forget how we did it.
You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.
I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign.
We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.
But I want to be very clear about one thing...
All of this happened because of you.
Thank you,
Barack
Is that not the measure of the man?

This is your page. Why should Obama be President of the USA?
Hello Fellow (and potential) Obama Fans
I am a UK citizen so it's illegal for me to donate money to Obama's campaign but I hope I can inspire a few people to vote for him.
I passionately believe that a win for this amazing man, Barack Obama, would be a triumph for the melting pot of cultural and racial integration.
It would show the world that there are enough fair-minded, forward-looking people of all ages, creeds, colours and economic status in America to begin the task of counteracting the effects of its less than fair establishment in recent years.
I believe that Barack has the ability to inspire not only America but also the world with a vision equal to that of Nelson Mandela.
I truly believe that Obama could inspire his government to try its very best to improve the lot of as much of the USA (and even world) population, in every walk of life, as possible. He rises above people's differences, unites them and inspires them by making each individual feel part of the process of salvation.
In my novel 'Fusion' which is a celebration of the warmth of cultural integration, I describe a 95 year old lady in Nairobi, Californian born Mwalimu Gloria Hagberg, 'Granny of the Airlifts' of the 1960s who is hoping that the son of one of her proteges, Barack Obama senior, will be President Obama of America.
I was in Kenya around 1968 along with some equally fired-up young USA idealists, working our socks off to help the newly independent Kenya. If you know any of those now around 60 year olds, do you know if they have been as inspired as I have by the thought that America might have a Luo leader before Kenya does? I am pretty sure they must be inspired by this young man, Obama, who is leading the way forward along a path of enlightenment that could restore America's reputation in the eyes of the global village - and having a crack at getting rid of the greed and bigotry that mar not just 'The West' but the whole world.
I sincerely hope, with all my heart, that Obama wins and starts the job of a 21st Century 'reformation' which is long overdue. It wouldn't just be a triumph for fusion. It would be justice!
BARACK'S GRANDMA IN KISUMU AGREES!
Why I support Barack Obama
I want to be part of a moment in History which so many people of all ages, creeds, colours and economic circumstances have come to believe can really happen. Who could have believed in 1963 as Martin Luther King was delivering his 'I Have a Dream' speech that within 45 years a young black man would be running for President of the USA as a Democratic candidate?
I believe he can do it! Not only would he have a huge impact on America. He could change the Global Village.
